Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer based in the United States. Join a globally distributed engineering team building secure, resilient infrastructure for the blockchain ecosystem. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will take ownership of the multi-cloud environments and networking foundations that support critical security operations. You will design, harden, and automate infrastructure across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure, with a strong emphasis on network security, egress control, and infrastructure as code. Working at the intersection of security and platform engineering, you will strengthen production Kubernetes environments, improve observability, and enhance deployment reliability. Your contributions will directly influence the organization's security posture, operational resilience, and ability to scale securely. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and building durable, automated solutions.

You will own the reliability, security, and automation of cloud infrastructure while collaborating with security and platform engineering teams to improve operational performance and reduce risk. Design, operate, and harden multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, and Helm. Design and manage network security architecture, including egress proxies, traffic segmentation, and outbound traffic controls across cloud environments. Manage edge and network security services, including Cloudflare DNS, web application firewall (WAF), edge security, traffic routing, and API gateway infrastructure. Operate and improve Tailscale as a zero-trust network access solution, including access policies and deployment across new environments. Maintain production Kubernetes environments on GKE, implementing cluster hardening, network policies, and secure deployment practices. Build and maintain Grafana observability dashboards to monitor infrastructure and network health, identify anomalies, and detect misconfigurations before they cause incidents. Strengthen CI/CD and deployment pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, and ArgoCD, with particular attention to infrastructure and software supply chain security. Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, conduct root cause analysis, lead blameless postmortems, and implement lasting reliability improvements. Identify repetitive manual tasks and automate infrastructure operations, tooling, and runbooks to reduce operational overhead. Define and monitor service-level objectives (SLOs), measure toil, and use reliability data to guide engineering priorities. Serve as the technical link between security and platform engineering on cloud infrastructure, networking, and operational security matters. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced infrastructure or platform engineer with strong site reliability engineering fundamentals, deep multi-cloud expertise, and a practical understanding of network security. You should be comfortable taking ownership of production systems, responding to incidents, and working independently across technical and compliance-focused teams. Have at least five years of hands-on experience in site reliability engineering, infrastructure engineering, or platform engineering, including operating production workloads across multiple cloud providers. Demonstrate strong SRE fundamentals, including defining SLOs, measuring operational toil, conducting blameless postmortems, and using reliability metrics to inform engineering decisions. Have substantial practical experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure, including VPCs, network peering, firewall rules, and load balancing. Be proficient in Terraform and Ansible, with experience owning infrastructure as code and configuration management in production environments. Bring a solid network security background, including designing or operating egress controls and proxy architectures for security and compliance. Have hands-on production Kubernetes experience, ideally with GKE, as well as Helm and GitOps deployment patterns using ArgoCD. Be familiar with Cloudflare or comparable edge, content delivery network (CDN), and WAF platforms, along with API gateway technologies. Have practical experience with Tailscale or another zero-trust network access solution. Have genuine on-call experience, including managing alerts, responding to incidents, conducting postmortems, and resolving underlying causes rather than applying temporary fixes. Be able to write automation, scripts, and tooling in Go or Python. Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with security, compliance, and engineering stakeholders. Experience with Kafka or other streaming technologies for log and telemetry pipelines is an advantage. Familiarity with SOC 2 or similar compliance programs, including Vanta or comparable governance, risk, and compliance platforms, is beneficial. Experience in fintech, cryptocurrency, or another regulated industry is a plus. Exposure to Temporal or similar workflow orchestration tools and HashiCorp Vault for secrets management in multi-cloud environments is desirable. Benefits: Full-time opportunity within a globally distributed engineering team. Work on complex, security-critical infrastructure supporting blockchain technology and institutional-grade services. Direct ownership and influence over multi-cloud architecture, network security, and operational resilience. Opportunity to work with modern cloud, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and GitOps technologies. Collaborative environment connecting security, platform engineering, and infrastructure operations. The source description does not specify a salary range or a detailed benefits package.
