This role involves bringing new silicon platforms to life, enabling hardware and software features, and delivering high-quality validation solutions that improve product readiness and engineering efficiency. Design, develop, and validate software solutions that support silicon bring-up, platform enablement, and feature readiness across emerging hardware platforms. Prototype and evaluate new hardware and software capabilities, investigate system behaviors, and drive root-cause analysis for complex issues spanning hardware, firmware, drivers, and operating system components. Develop and maintain automated validation frameworks, regression test suites, and supporting infrastructure to improve test coverage, scalability, and execution efficiency. Analyze performance, reliability, and compatibility issues across the platform stack and partner with engineering teams to drive resolution. Debug and enhance device drivers, platform software, and supporting system components to ensure robust functionality and product quality. Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, firmware developers, operating system teams, and external silicon partners to define requirements, refine solutions, and deliver capabilities across multiple product generations. Contribute to the design of maintainable, modular, and reusable software components with an emphasis on quality, diagnosability, and long-term supportability. Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and validation reviews to improve engineering excellence and product outcomes. Work effectively in an Agile development environment, contributing to planning, implementation, testing, and continuous improvement activities. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, or Python. OR equivalent experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience in software and/or product development. Proven C/C++ design, coding, debugging and testing skills. Solid communication skills required, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms. SoC bring-up, bootloaders, platform initialization, and hardware enablement. Platform technologies and peripherals including PCIe, NVMe, USB, I2C, SPI, UART, and related interfaces. Device driver development and debugging. Windows Plug and Play architecture and device management. Operating system fundamentals including memory management, scheduling, interrupts, synchronization, and multithreaded programming. Kernel debugging, crash dump analysis, hardware debugging, and JTAG-based bring-up. Performance analysis and system-level troubleshooting.
