Our partner is looking for a Sr. Account Manager - State Government (Northeast) based in United States. The Sr. Account Manager will help state government organizations use geospatial technology to address complex operational and strategic challenges. This role focuses on building trusted relationships with large public-sector accounts, expanding technology adoption, and identifying new opportunities for growth. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to develop account strategies that align technology capabilities with government priorities. The position combines enterprise sales, industry expertise, consulting, and strategic account management. You will engage executive decision-makers, navigate complex budgeting and procurement processes, and communicate the value of sophisticated GIS solutions. Prospect within large and complex state government organizations, develop strategic relationships, and identify opportunities to expand technology adoption. Build and execute account strategies designed to deepen customer relationships, uncover new opportunities, and support long-term account growth. Establish trusted relationships with executive and enterprise-level decision-makers while identifying key stakeholders, business priorities, and organizational drivers. Understand customer budgeting, acquisition, fiscal-year, and procurement processes to effectively guide opportunities through the sales cycle. Apply advanced knowledge of state government operations and geospatial technology to identify solutions that address customer challenges. Clearly communicate the value of GIS technology through presentations, demonstrations, whiteboarding sessions, workshops, seminars, and industry events. Research market developments, emerging technologies, competitive trends, and customer priorities to maintain strong industry knowledge. Proactively manage sales opportunities and account activities to achieve revenue objectives while keeping customer needs at the center of decision-making. Collaborate with internal teams and business partners to develop and execute account strategies and deliver effective customer solutions. Share expertise, support team members, and contribute to a collaborative environment focused on customer success and continuous improvement. Requirements: 5+ years of enterprise sales, consulting, or relevant program management experience. Proven experience managing complex sales cycles, developing strategic partnerships, and becoming a trusted advisor to large organizations. Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to develop compelling account growth strategies. Advanced knowledge of state government business areas, emerging technology trends, and their application to complex customer challenges. Understanding of GIS, geospatial technology, and state government operations, including how they intersect to support organizational objectives. Strong visual storytelling, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills across multiple levels of an organization. Knowledge of government fiscal-year, budgeting, procurement, and acquisition cycles. Ability to travel domestically or internationally approximately 25–50%. Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field. General knowledge of data science or spatial analysis and how these disciplines can support problem-solving and identify organizational patterns and trends is preferred. Master’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Benefits: Base salary range of $114,400–$218,400 USD.
