This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Commercial Strategy Manager based in Canada. As a Senior Commercial Strategy Manager, you will lead high-impact strategic initiatives that accelerate business growth, strengthen partnerships, and improve operational efficiency. You will work across multiple functions to transform emerging opportunities into actionable strategies, from developing new business ideas to launching and scaling innovative programs. In this highly collaborative role, you will partner with senior leaders and teams across product, engineering, marketing, sales, and finance. You will combine analytical rigor, commercial judgment, and creative problem-solving to navigate ambiguity and deliver measurable results. Your work will help shape strategic priorities, unlock new growth opportunities, and expand the reach of a growing marketplace. This is an opportunity for a resourceful, impact-driven professional who thrives on ownership, influence, and solving complex business challenges.

Identify, prioritize, and lead strategic initiatives aligned with the organization's highest-impact business opportunities, adapting quickly as priorities evolve. Develop, test, and incubate new business ideas, products, and commercial opportunities from initial concept through implementation. Identify growth opportunities within the partnerships business, develop go-to-market strategies, and launch programs that expand marketplace reach through external partners. Lead strategic planning activities, including goal setting, business planning, competitive analysis, financial modeling, and executive or board-level preparation. Conduct ad hoc analyses and manage complex projects to support critical business decisions and long-term growth objectives. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives by aligning stakeholders, harmonizing objectives, resolving challenges, and maintaining momentum across teams. Anticipate potential roadblocks, develop proactive solutions, and bring structure to ambiguous or rapidly evolving business problems with minimal guidance. Influence internal and external stakeholders without relying on formal authority, advocating for strategic initiatives and driving alignment across different functions. Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior commercial and business development leaders, providing insights and recommendations that inform organizational direction. Requirements: Professional experience: 5–7+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, business operations, corporate strategy, or a comparable strategic role. Strategic problem-solving: Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, build structured frameworks, develop actionable plans, and solve complex business challenges. Analytical expertise: Strong financial and analytical modeling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, practical insights and executive-level recommendations. Commercial acumen: Understanding of business growth strategies, go-to-market planning, competitive analysis, and the development of new business opportunities. Cross-functional collaboration: Proven ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with leaders and teams across multiple functions and organizational levels. Influencing skills: Ability to gain stakeholder alignment, influence decisions without formal authority, and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners from diverse backgrounds. Ownership and execution: A proactive, resourceful, hands-on mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate obstacles, and deliver results independently. Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift, alongside a willingness to learn, experiment, and continuously improve. Growth mindset: A strong commitment to meaningful impact, accountability, and going beyond the minimum to achieve business objectives. Benefits: Compensation: Expected total cash compensation of CAD $118,200–$152,900 for candidates based in Ontario or British Columbia. Total cash compensation includes base salary and variable pay, where applicable. Compensation flexibility: Actual offers may vary based on job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and demonstrated proficiency. Remote work: The position is listed as remote for candidates based in Ontario or British Columbia, Canada. Full-time employment: Opportunity to take ownership of high-priority strategic initiatives and contribute directly to business growth. Cross-functional exposure: Collaborate with senior leadership and teams across business development, product, engineering, marketing, sales, and finance. Professional impact: Help shape strategic direction, develop new commercial opportunities, and improve operational effectiveness in a fast-moving marketplace environment. Inclusive workplace: The organization states its commitment to equal employment opportunity and a diverse, inclusive working environment. Accessibility: Reasonable accommodations are available to applicants with disabilities during the recruitment process.
