You will oversee essential maintenance management and engineering documentation systems, helping ensure equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Working across maintenance, IT, and external service providers, you will manage asset records, preventive maintenance schedules, spare parts inventory, and system improvements. You will also contribute to quality investigations, corrective actions, change controls, and audit readiness. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who combines technical expertise with strong organizational and communication skills. You will join a collaborative, fast-paced environment where data integrity, continuous improvement, and product quality are essential. The role is fully on-site in Sanford, North Carolina, initially at a construction site and ultimately at a biotechnology manufacturing facility.

Collaborate with IT teams and software vendors to troubleshoot CMMS and EDMS issues, implement improvements, and support system performance. Generate periodic reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance. Coordinate equipment calibrations, maintenance activities, and vendor preventive maintenance schedules. Maintain accurate asset data throughout the equipment lifecycle, including new asset additions, relocations, and retirements. Manage maintenance spare parts inventory using the CMMS and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) enterprise resource planning system. Train end users and new system administrators, providing technical guidance and serving as a point of contact for troubleshooting and escalations. Lead or participate in system upgrades, validation activities, and configuration changes, ensuring compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 and other applicable regulations. Author and support maintenance department deviations, change controls, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). Represent the maintenance department in critical investigations and support the development and implementation of appropriate corrective actions. Assist with regulatory audits by preparing and providing maintenance documentation, equipment histories, and CMMS/EDMS records as required. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred. Five to seven years of experience working with CMMS platforms, with preference for candidates familiar with SAP or Microsoft Dynamics. Five to seven years of relevant experience involving CMMS and EDMS administration, deviation documentation, and change control processes. Experience managing maintenance spare parts inventory. Familiarity with CMMS platforms such as D365 EAM, SAP PM, IBM Maximo, or comparable systems. Experience with an EDMS, preferably Adept, and an understanding of controlled engineering and equipment documentation. Experience authoring or participating in investigations and implementing associated corrective actions. Ability to import and export data, develop templates, generate reports, and modify reporting outputs as needed. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and service partners. Ability to provide user training, troubleshoot system issues, and promote a high standard of internal customer service. Willingness to work fully on-site in Sanford, North Carolina, including during the initial construction-site phase and subsequent manufacturing-site operations. Ability to travel domestically up to 5% as needed. Comfort working in an environment that may involve extended periods of standing or sitting, machinery, noise, and physical hazards while following appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
