What You'll Do Own the operation – Take full accountability for budgetary performance, people development, and operational excellence across your functional area (Inbound or Outbound). Lead and develop leaders – Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Operations and Area Managers, setting clear expectations and holding them accountable while building the next generation of Amazon leaders. Drive continuous improvement – Champion Lean initiatives, process innovations, and quality programs that push your team and the FC to exceed business goals. Deliver a world-class customer experience – Ensure safety, quality, and performance standards are met or exceeded every single day. Collaborate cross-functionally – Partner with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and peer leaders to secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in your area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives. Cultivate ideas – Source and nurture innovative ideas from your team, translating them into actionable improvement plans that raise the bar across the functional area. Share best practices – Take proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and the broader network.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of equivalent experience
  • Work flexible hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays
  • 7+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment
  • Prior experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques
  • Prior experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
  • Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nation
  • Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or related field. MBA preferred

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
