You will identify opportunities to address critical financial challenges through accounting, payroll, spend management, and other financial solutions. Combining financial services expertise with strategic product leadership, you will take new products and capabilities from initial discovery to launch and continuous improvement. You will assess market needs, customer insights, and business opportunities to determine when to build, buy, or partner. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will translate strategic priorities into measurable outcomes and meaningful customer value. Your work will help churches strengthen their financial stability and access the resources they need to serve their communities.
You will lead the development and expansion of financial stewardship products, balancing customer needs, market opportunities, business objectives, and the specific requirements of financial services. Your responsibilities will include: Develop a strong understanding of the financial services landscape relevant to churches, including accounting, payroll, spend management, and related products. Identify and assess opportunities to solve meaningful financial challenges through customer research, market analysis, and business data. Lead product discovery and problem definition, creating clear problem statements, sizing opportunities, and recommending whether to build, buy, or partner. Define product strategies, prioritize roadmaps, and translate approved opportunities into actionable Jira Epics and well-scoped development initiatives. Lead products and significant capabilities from concept and discovery through development, launch, customer adoption, and iteration. Establish success metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), using customer feedback and performance data to guide product decisions and measure results. Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Customer Experience, Finance, Legal, and other teams to align priorities, navigate constraints, and deliver new financial services. Communicate product strategy, priorities, trade-offs, and progress clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership. Monitor developments in financial services, technology, and church needs to identify emerging opportunities and continuously improve the product portfolio. During the first year, build a strong understanding of customers and existing offerings, recommend a prioritized financial stewardship opportunity, and lead at least one new financial product, integration, or significant capability from discovery through launch. Establish baseline KPIs and demonstrate measurable progress in adoption, engagement, revenue, or other agreed-upon business outcomes while laying the groundwork for future product expansion. Requirements: The ideal candidate combines proven product management experience with hands-on financial services knowledge, strategic judgment, and the ability to deliver new products in complex and ambiguous environments. The following qualifications are required or preferred: 5–7+ years of product management experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment. Proven ability to lead 0-to-1 product development, covering discovery, problem definition, development, launch, and iteration. Experience overseeing the full product development lifecycle and delivering measurable product outcomes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources, identify root causes, and navigate complex or conflicting data. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate product vision and strategy, adapt messaging to different audiences, and motivate stakeholders. A strategic mindset, including the ability to anticipate market trends and translate insights into actionable product strategies. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to align cross-functional teams around shared priorities and business outcomes. Sound judgment when evaluating build-versus-buy trade-offs, third-party partnerships, and the additional requirements associated with financial products. Preferred qualifications: Experience with accounting, spend management, and/or payroll software or systems. Experience evaluating strategic partnerships or build-versus-buy decisions involving third-party financial services. Experience integrating third-party financial products or services into an existing SaaS platform. Experience consolidating fragmented systems or platforms into a unified customer experience.
