Our partner is looking for a Sr. Analyst, Financial Systems Security, GFIT based in the United States. The Senior Analyst, Financial Systems Security plays a key role in protecting financial systems and sensitive data across a complex technology environment. This position combines advanced security monitoring, risk assessment, incident investigation, and control oversight to help reduce risk and maintain compliance with corporate security standards and financial regulations. You will work closely with application, infrastructure, governance, and project teams to embed security into system implementations and changes. The role also supports IT General Controls (ITGC), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and internal and external audits. This is a remote, full-time opportunity with potential travel for in-person collaboration.

Lead advanced monitoring and analysis of security alerts and logs to identify suspicious activity, emerging threats, anomalies, and trends affecting financial systems. Investigate complex security events and incidents, conduct root-cause and impact analyses, and coordinate remediation with relevant technical teams. Act as an escalation point for high-risk security issues and incidents requiring cross-functional coordination. Conduct security risk assessments, identify control gaps, and recommend practical, risk-based remediation strategies. Evaluate the security implications of system changes, new applications, integrations, and enhancements to ensure risks are addressed early in the delivery lifecycle. Support IT General Controls (ITGC) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control activities related to security monitoring, access management, and incident response. Provide security expertise during application implementations, infrastructure changes, and system enhancements, advising on secure design and configuration. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, project management, and governance teams to incorporate security considerations into implementation plans. Serve as a key contact for internal and external auditors, supporting audit walkthroughs, evidence collection, compliance reviews, and remediation discussions. Review security documentation, procedures, and control evidence to maintain audit readiness, accuracy, and consistency. Identify opportunities to improve control design, documentation quality, audit efficiency, security monitoring, reporting, and operational effectiveness. Share security knowledge with team members, support professional development, and contribute to the refinement of security standards, procedures, and operational practices. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Management, or a related field. At least seven years of experience in IT security, security operations, IT audit, and/or financial systems compliance. Demonstrated experience managing security initiatives and supporting regulatory assessments. Knowledge of security and regulatory standards, best practices, and control requirements applicable to financial systems. Familiarity with financial applications, security monitoring tools, and related technology environments. Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess complex security issues and recommend effective solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and internal and external audit representatives. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate across cross-functional teams. A professional certification in security, compliance, or financial systems is preferred. Examples include GIFS, CISM, CEH, or SSCP. Must be able to work remotely full-time from home and accommodate occasional travel to headquarters in Miami, Florida, for in-person collaboration.
