Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Product Manager, Technical based in Canada . We are looking for an experienced product leader to define strategy and drive the delivery of complex digital products, with a strong focus on applied AI and enterprise solutions. In this role, you will own the full product lifecycle, from discovery and problem definition to roadmap development, execution, and measurable business outcomes. You will collaborate closely with senior client stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to transform business challenges into production-ready solutions. Working in a fast-paced, consulting-oriented environment, you will balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and sound technical judgment. You will also help shape AI-driven product practices, accelerate decision-making, and ensure quality without compromising delivery speed. As a senior leader, you will mentor other product managers, strengthen client relationships, and influence how innovative technologies create lasting business value.

Define product vision, strategy, and priorities for major client engagements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable customer outcomes. Own the end-to-end product roadmap, balancing business value, technical feasibility, resource constraints, and delivery timelines. Lead complex discovery initiatives, workshops, and problem-framing sessions with executive stakeholders to identify customer needs and validate opportunities before development begins. Translate business requirements into actionable product plans, clear specifications, and acceptance criteria in close collaboration with engineering, design, delivery, and strategy teams. Establish meaningful product success metrics, monitor performance, analyze results, and use data-driven insights to guide prioritization and continuous improvement. Build trusted relationships with senior client leaders, acting as a strategic advisor on product direction, technology choices, business trade-offs, and delivery decisions. Communicate product strategies, recommendations, risks, and technical trade-offs clearly to executive audiences and cross-functional stakeholders. Apply AI tools to accelerate product discovery, research synthesis, documentation, prototyping, and decision-making while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy. Collaborate with engineering teams to explore AI-powered solutions, assess technical possibilities, and translate emerging capabilities into practical product opportunities. Establish and promote strong product management and delivery practices across client engagements, ensuring consistency, accountability, and effective execution. Mentor and develop mid-level and senior product managers, strengthening their strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and delivery capabilities. Serve as a senior escalation point for complex product decisions, scope changes, prioritization conflicts, and delivery challenges. Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, direct communication, ownership, experimentation, and high-quality execution. Requirements At least 7 years of professional product management experience, including a strong background in consulting, client advisory, or professional services delivery. Demonstrated success defining product strategy and vision for complex digital products and managing initiatives from discovery through production launch. Extensive experience leading product discovery, roadmap development, prioritization, and delivery across multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments. Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, influence decisions, and communicate complex ideas clearly. Proven ability to align engineering, design, business, and delivery teams while influencing outcomes without direct authority. Experience defining, tracking, and interpreting product performance metrics to inform decisions and demonstrate business impact. Strong technical understanding of enterprise digital products and experience collaborating with engineers on architecture, feasibility, and implementation trade-offs. Practical experience using product management tools such as Jira, Productboard, Amplitude, and Miro. Substantial hands-on experience using AI tools, such as Claude, to accelerate product discovery, research synthesis, documentation, and other workflows. Previous exposure to building or launching AI/ML-powered products, with an understanding of how AI capabilities can address business problems. Strong ownership, accountability, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in ambiguous and fast-changing environments. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes under tight timelines and resource constraints. A growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to continuously learn as AI technologies and product management practices evolve. Preferred qualifications: Experience prototyping product concepts using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot. Working knowledge of generative AI concepts, including large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, context engineering, and model limitations. Hands-on contributions to AI-powered products, including features, prompts, evaluation frameworks, or experimentation. Experience working with AWS-based products and collaborating with cloud engineers or solution architects on cost, scalability, security, and reliability decisions. Industry expertise in one or more of the following sectors: consumer products and retail, education, energy, financial services, healthcare, or manufacturing. A proactive, resourceful, and collaborative approach, with the confidence to challenge assumptions, communicate difficult trade-offs, and take responsibility for outcomes. Benefits Competitive compensation: Annual salary range of CAD $130,000–$160,000 for Canada-based employees, depending on qualifications, experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Comprehensive health coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance for eligible employees. Paid time off: Vacation and other paid leave to support rest, personal commitments, and work-life balance. Retirement benefits: Access to a 401(k) retirement savings plan for eligible employees, subject to applicable plan terms. Remote work flexibility: Work remotely from Canada, with the autonomy to manage your work in a flexible environment. Professional growth: Opportunities to expand expertise in product leadership, enterprise technology, and applied AI. Experienced colleagues: Collaborate with highly experienced product, design, and engineering professionals who value craftsmanship, accountability, and continuous improvement.
