Overview
The EU-funded STEP programme offers up to 130 fully funded two-year intermediate technical diploma scholarships for vulnerable Jordanian youth in five labour-market fields.
Complete scholarship details
STEP is funded by the European Union and implemented for this scholarship component by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), within a wider project with Enabel. Up to 130 vulnerable Jordanian youth can pursue two-year Intermediate Technical Diploma study beginning in the first semester of 2026/27. Covered fields are Information Technology, Renewable Energy, Smart Agriculture, Hospitality and Nursing at Al-Balqa Applied University, Al al-Bayt University and Tafila Technical University. The official Ministry announcement describes the award as fully funded; the public call does not itemize a per-student cash amount, so none is invented.
Eligibility requirements
Targeted at young Jordanians from less advantaged or vulnerable groups. Women and persons with disabilities are particularly encouraged to apply, and priority is given to applicants from northern and southern governorates. Applicants must first apply through Jordan's Unified Admission Portal and include at least two STEP-covered programmes at partner universities among their choices before completing the STEP scholarship application.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified against the current DAAD Jordan STEP programme page and Jordan Ministry of Higher Education announcement published 6 August 2026. They confirm up to 130 scholarships, a two-year technical diploma, five fields, the three partner universities, vulnerable-youth focus, 1–30 August 2026 application period and the requirement to apply through Unified Admission before the STEP form. The Ministry explicitly calls the scholarship fully funded; no unsupported itemized cash amount was added.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
