This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Operations Manager based in the United States. This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven operations professional to help a growing organization scale efficiently and make smarter, evidence-based decisions. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Operations, you will combine analytical expertise with project leadership to transform business insights into measurable operational improvements. You will investigate performance trends, build dashboards, and identify opportunities to optimize workflows across multiple departments. The role involves leading complex initiatives from planning through execution while aligning stakeholders around clear goals, timelines, and deliverables. You will work in a collaborative, fast-paced, and remote-first environment where curiosity, ownership, and adaptability are highly valued. This position offers the opportunity to influence strategic decisions, improve operational performance, and contribute to the evolution of technology-enabled legal services.
Analyze operational data to uncover trends, investigate performance variations, identify inefficiencies, and answer critical business questions. Own the process of generating operational insights and following through on recommendations, ensuring that analysis translates into concrete actions and measurable business outcomes. Develop, maintain, and improve dashboards and reporting tools that communicate operational performance clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Lead complex operational projects from initial scoping and planning through implementation and completion, establishing clear objectives, timelines, deliverables, and accountability. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving multiple departments and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and progress toward shared goals. Translate analytical findings into structured improvement initiatives with defined success metrics, actionable recommendations, and measurable outcomes. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and design and implement new workflows that improve operational effectiveness. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and strategic planning sessions to gather insights, resolve challenges, align priorities, and drive decision-making. Present analytical findings, project updates, and recommendations to stakeholders at all organizational levels, adapting communication to different audiences. Proactively anticipate business needs through data analysis, performance monitoring, and forward-looking project planning. Partner closely with the Director of Strategic Operations to coordinate multiple initiatives, extend operational leadership capacity, and support strategic priorities. Manage competing deadlines and evolving business requirements while maintaining high standards of analytical rigor, project execution, and communication. Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data accessibility, and operational decision-making through business intelligence tools and emerging analytical techniques. Requirements: Three to five years of professional experience combining data analytics and project management, ideally within a high-growth startup, financial institution, consulting firm, or similarly fast-paced organization. Advanced proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Looker, and Tableau. Strong SQL skills and familiarity with modern business intelligence (BI) tools, particularly for querying datasets, building dashboards, and translating complex information into actionable insights. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and coordinating stakeholders across multiple departments, with a track record of delivering initiatives successfully. Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, establish timelines, track deliverables, and maintain accountability. Highly developed analytical thinking and intellectual curiosity, with the ability to investigate complex problems, challenge assumptions, identify patterns, and develop evidence-based solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain analytical findings and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. A proactive, self-directed approach to work, with the ability to identify opportunities, make sound decisions, and deliver results with limited supervision. Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment characterized by ambiguity, changing priorities, and evolving business needs. Strong attention to detail and a practical, results-oriented mindset, with the ability to connect data analysis to operational execution and business impact. Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Python, or R is an advantage. Familiarity with machine learning concepts, legal technology, professional services, or operational teams within complex, service-based businesses is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, collaborating with distributed teams and maintaining clear communication across stakeholders. Benefits: Competitive salary: Annual compensation ranging from $90,000 to $120,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Remote work: A fully remote position based in the United States. Flexible scheduling: A flexible work environment that supports autonomy, productivity, and work-life balance. Flexible paid time off: A flexible PTO policy that allows employees to manage personal needs and time away from work. Comprehensive healthcare: Premium medical, dental, and vision coverage, with options for employees and their families. Some plans include 100% premium coverage. Wellness and mental health support: Shared wellness and mental health benefits available to employees and their families. Retirement savings: Access to a company-provided 401(k) account. Equity opportunities: Eligibility for equity options, allowing employees to participate in the organization's long-term growth. Home office support: Assistance with home office setup and a monthly stipend to help cover internet and phone expenses. Professional growth: Opportunities to work closely with operations leadership, lead high-impact projects, and develop expertise in analytics, strategic planning, and operational improvement. Collaborative culture: A supportive, team-oriented environment that encourages innovation, curiosity, ownership, and continuous learning.
