Round 2 opens 7 September 2026 at 9:00 AEST and closes 9 October 2026 at 23:59 AEDT. Successful candidates receive an annual AUD 35,500 stipend at the 2026 rate for three years, with a possible six-month extension, plus tuition support for up to four years and eligible leave, thesis and relocation allowances. Applicants are automatically considered for SUPRA and RTPS.
Eligibility requirements
Domestic and international future/current PhD or Professional Doctorate candidates who meet course entry requirements, normally hold a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours or equivalent, propose research aligned with Swinburne strategy, and meet the scholarship income rules. Current candidates must generally have been enrolled for less than two years at the round close.
