For applicants from Portugal, the official 2027–2028 country schedule lists Research Fellowship, PhD and Arts scholarships. Current research/PhD/art scholarship support is CHF 2,450 per month, with a one-time CHF 600 housing-deposit contribution and a Swiss Half-Fare Travelcard. Because Portugal is an EU/EFTA country, scholarship holders cover their own health insurance and travel. Tuition and semester fees are not covered by the scholarship.
Eligibility requirements
Eligibility depends on scholarship type. Research and PhD applicants need the required master’s-level qualification by the published 2027 cut-off, a research project and a supporting academic supervisor in Switzerland. Arts applicants must meet the current first-master and admission requirements for eligible Swiss arts institutions. Applicants must satisfy the current age, residence and country-specific conditions.
