For Armenia, the official country list shows the 2027–2028 online call opened on 20 August 2026 and offers Research Fellowship and PhD scholarship types. Research fellowship and PhD awards provide CHF 2,450 per month. Additional official benefits include compulsory health-insurance premiums for non-EU/EFTA scholarship holders, a one-time CHF 600 rental-deposit grant, a Half-Fare Travelcard, and a return-flight allowance for non-EU/EFTA recipients. Tuition or semester fees are not universally covered and may remain payable by the scholarship holder.
Eligibility requirements
Research Fellowship applicants must be highly qualified early-career researchers pursuing a PhD in their home country and have a master's degree or equivalent completed by the official 2027 cutoff. PhD applicants must have completed a master's degree or equivalent. For both research tracks, applicants must have been born after 31 December 1991, submit a detailed research plan, and obtain a support letter from an academic supervisor at an eligible Swiss higher-education institution. Additional residence, prior-award and formal application exclusions apply.
