Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Team Lead, ADM Ops based in India. We are looking for an experienced operations leader to oversee a team responsible for reviewing, validating, and enriching complex private fund investment data. In this role, you will help ensure data accuracy, timely processing, and compliance with service-level agreements while managing operational workflows and team performance. You will serve as a subject matter expert in private fund reporting, resolving complex data discrepancies and extraction issues. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Machine Learning Operations, and Client Success teams, you will help improve processes and support AI-driven data extraction initiatives. You will also contribute to operational standardization, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across the data pipeline. This opportunity is ideal for a collaborative leader who combines financial services expertise, analytical thinking, and a passion for developing high-performing teams in a global environment.

Lead and manage a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts, overseeing workload allocation, daily queue management, and service-level agreement compliance, particularly during peak quarter-end processing periods. Monitor and improve key performance indicators, including processing accuracy, turnaround times, SLA compliance, and throughput. Maintain and enhance operational workflows, processing playbooks, and standard operating procedures for private fund look-through operations. Identify opportunities to optimize, standardize, and automate operational processes and data workflows. Act as a subject matter expert for complex Schedule of Investments processing, specialized asset classes such as real estate and crypto or tokenized assets, and intricate fund accounting processes. Guide the team in troubleshooting extraction errors, pipeline issues, and front-end verification discrepancies. Conduct quality control reviews and high-level audits to identify and correct errors in extracted or mapped holdings data. Serve as the primary escalation point for data quality issues, pipeline failures, and complex entity-mapping challenges using tools such as SOAP UI, GSM Search, and PitchBook. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and AI platform teams to improve operational efficiency, identify extraction errors, prepare edge-case datasets for machine learning model retraining, and enhance pipeline tools and user interfaces. Work directly with clients, general partners, and fund administrators to resolve technical data inquiries, investigate discrepancies, and address complex reporting scenarios. Support effective communication and collaboration across global teams to maintain reliable service delivery and continuous operational improvement. Requirements: At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in financial services, investment operations, data operations, or a related field. At least 2 years of team leadership or people management experience. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline. Experience with private equity, alternative investments, or private and drawdown fund processes. Strong understanding of capital markets, financial investment or advisory services, and middle- or back-office operations systems. Familiarity with alternative investment fund reporting statements and financial data is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced operational environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging clients, data providers, and internal stakeholders across multiple functions. A proactive, pragmatic, and self-motivated approach, with a strong sense of ownership and a collaborative leadership style. Technical proficiency in one or more of the following is preferred: Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, SQL, Salesforce, or other financial services applications. Flexibility to work overlapping US and EMEA shifts or adjusted hours to support global stakeholders. Legal authorization to work in India from the first day of employment; visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Benefits: Opportunity to lead a specialized data operations team supporting private fund investment transparency and financial data quality. Collaborative, global working environment with opportunities to partner across Product, Engineering, AI, and Client Success functions. Exposure to AI/ML-powered data extraction technologies and initiatives focused on operational innovation. Inclusive workplace culture that values diverse perspectives, teamwork, ownership, continuous learning, and client success. Reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities during the recruitment process and in performing essential job functions. Opportunities to contribute to process improvements and develop expertise in alternative investments and financial data operations.
