This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Team Leader of Technology based in the United States. This role combines technical leadership and people management to oversee enterprise cloud and hybrid network infrastructure. You will lead a team of network engineers responsible for designing, securing, operating, and continuously improving critical network environments. The position has a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, hybrid connectivity, automation, observability, reliability, and network security. You will balance hands-on technical leadership with mentoring, performance management, incident response, and strategic planning. The role requires close collaboration with Cloud, DevOps, Security, and application teams to support infrastructure and deployment initiatives. You will also help establish reliability standards, strengthen security and compliance practices, and communicate technical risks and roadmaps to IT leadership. This is a full-time remote opportunity with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule.

Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop a team of cloud network engineers, including performance management, scheduling, career development, and technical growth. Assign and prioritize project work, incident response activities, and on-call rotations across the engineering team. Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and performance reviews while supporting team hiring and onboarding. Design and oversee secure, scalable cloud network architectures, primarily within Microsoft Azure. Manage Azure networking components including VNets, subnets, peering, routing, load balancing, network security groups, firewalls, and DNS. Design and manage hybrid connectivity solutions across cloud and on-premises environments, including VPN, ExpressRoute, SD-WAN, and related technologies. Establish network segmentation, routing, DNS, and firewall policy strategies aligned with security and operational requirements. Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of cloud network infrastructure. Lead incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and remediation for complex network outages and performance issues. Establish and monitor network SLAs and SLOs while identifying opportunities to improve reliability and operational efficiency. Drive network provisioning and configuration automation using infrastructure-as-code and automation technologies. Lead implementation and adoption of observability capabilities, including Elastic Observability, Azure Monitor, or comparable platforms. Partner with security teams to implement zero-trust principles, micro-segmentation, encryption, identity-based access, and vulnerability remediation. Support compliance initiatives and audits related to standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS where applicable. Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, Security, and application teams to support infrastructure and deployment requirements. Serve as an escalation point for complex network issues and communicate network strategy, risks, priorities, and roadmaps to IT leadership. Requirements: 7+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical field, including significant experience with enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid environments. 2+ years of experience leading, supervising, or mentoring network engineering teams, including experience with performance management, work prioritization, and technical development. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, peering, routing, load balancing, network security groups, Azure Firewall, DNS, and related services. Proven experience designing and managing hybrid cloud connectivity using VPN, ExpressRoute, SD-WAN, and cloud-to-on-premises networking. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, network segmentation, VPNs, and load balancing. Experience applying network security and zero-trust principles, including segmentation, encryption, firewall policies, identity-based access, and vulnerability remediation. Experience with network automation and infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or comparable technologies. Experience with network monitoring and observability platforms such as Elastic Observability, Azure Monitor, or similar solutions. Demonstrated ability to lead incident response, troubleshoot complex network issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive remediation in high-availability environments. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in security, compliance, or regulated environments governed by standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and mentoring skills. Ability to balance strategic planning, technical execution, operational reliability, and people leadership. Benefits: Full-time remote position in the United States. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM work schedule. Competitive and comprehensive benefits package. Annual leave and other paid time off. Annual success-sharing bonuses, bonuses, or commission plans based on role and individual performance. Tuition reimbursement opportunities. Referral bonuses. Career development and internal mobility opportunities. Opportunities to work with global teams and on enterprise-scale technology environments.
