Belong is an innovative not-for-profit provider of person-centred care for older people, specialising in dementia care. With the opening of our brand-new village in Birkdale, there has never been a more exciting time to join Belong and be part of something special from the very beginning.

We are looking for caring, passionate, and committed individuals to join our team as Team Senior Carers. Working within one of our households, you'll support older people to live independently while delivering exceptional person-centred care in a warm and friendly environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Team Senior Carer, you'll play a vital role in supporting our customers and leading by example within the household team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality personal care
  • Administering and managing medication
  • Supporting customers living with dementia
  • Preparing and cooking meals within the household
  • Maintaining and updating care plans and daily records
  • Deputising for the Team Leader when required
  • Promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing for all customers

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Level 2 qualification (or above) in Health and Social Care
  • Experience supporting older people, particularly in a dementia care setting
  • Experience administering and recording medication accurately
  • Experience updating care plans and resident records
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Ability to commute to Birkdale and surrounding areas
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including:
  • 8:00am to 3:00pm
  • 3:00pm to 10:00pm
  • Occasional long-day shifts
  • Alternate weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

Desirable Experience

  • Leading shifts and deputising for a Team Leader
  • Completing staff supervisions and appraisals
  • Completing safeguarding documentation and managing safeguarding concerns
