Tech Lead iGaming

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Tech Lead – iGaming based in Brazil. We are seeking a hands-on technical leader with proven experience building and launching online casino platforms to lead the development of a new iGaming solution from the ground up. You will work directly with the founder, shaping the technical strategy, defining the architecture, and making critical decisions about development, integrations, and technology providers. Your mission will be to build a reliable, secure, and scalable platform that connects player accounts, gaming services, wallets, deposits, and withdrawals. You will take ownership of complex backend challenges, including transaction consistency, reconciliation, and production reliability. The platform will initially support an internal operation, with a long-term vision of evolving into a B2B white-label solution for the wider market. This is a highly autonomous, hands-on opportunity to establish the technical foundations of a growing business and deliver a validated, integrated product from its earliest stages.

Technical Leadership and Architecture Define the technical strategy, system architecture, and development roadmap in close collaboration with the founder. Determine which components should be developed internally, purchased, or integrated through specialized third-party providers, evaluating scope, dependencies, costs, risks, and acceptance criteria. Make informed technology and architecture decisions that balance delivery speed, software quality, operational reliability, and long-term scalability. Remain actively involved in development, implementation, code-level problem-solving, and the investigation of complex technical issues. iGaming Platform Development Design, build, and integrate the core backend components of an online casino platform, including player registration, account and session management, game launches, wallets, and back-office functionality. Implement and maintain integrations with gaming providers, supporting relevant workflows such as sessions, bets, bonuses, winnings, cancellations, and refunds. Develop reliable deposit and withdrawal flows, ensuring accurate balance management, transaction traceability, and consistency across integrated services. Establish robust transactional processing mechanisms to handle duplicate requests, concurrent operations, pending transactions, reversals, and reconciliation discrepancies. Design the platform to support future white-label capabilities, with appropriate separation of player data, configurations, and access permissions across different operators. Integrations, Security, and Reliability Evaluate third-party documentation, APIs, test environments, integration limitations, and service quality before selecting or implementing external solutions. Design and maintain API integrations, webhooks, relational database structures, asynchronous processing workflows, and secure application components. Implement appropriate testing, monitoring, logging, documentation, and deployment practices to support system stability and maintainability. Diagnose production incidents, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution efforts with external providers and technical partners. Establish recovery procedures and operational controls to support business continuity and reliable financial transactions. Delivery and Team Development Lead the delivery of an initial integrated and validated version of the platform, targeting approximately 60 days for a demonstrable release in a test environment. Ensure the initial version supports an end-to-end journey covering player registration, balance management, game launches, financial transactions, and withdrawals. Define the tests, logs, and technical evidence needed to validate functionality, integration quality, and transaction integrity. Identify opportunities to engage additional professionals or specialized service providers when doing so reduces delivery time, risk, or total cost. Document technical decisions, share knowledge, and establish a sustainable technical foundation for future development and operational growth. Requirements Proven hands-on experience developing complex software solutions in the iGaming industry, particularly online casino platforms. Significant involvement in launching, rebuilding, or evolving the backend of an online casino operating in a production environment, with the ability to clearly explain personal contributions and technical deliverables. Practical experience integrating gaming providers and implementing workflows involving game sessions, bets, bonuses, winnings, cancellations, and refunds. Strong experience with transactional wallets, balance management, financial movements, and payment integrations covering deposits and withdrawals. Solid knowledge of APIs, webhooks, relational databases, database transactions, asynchronous processing, automated testing, and application security. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production incidents, investigate complex integration failures, and coordinate technical resolutions with external partners. Strong architectural judgment and the ability to evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, assess third-party solutions, and manage technical dependencies. A hands-on leadership style, combining strategic decision-making with direct technical execution and accountability for delivery. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly around transaction integrity, concurrency, duplicate processing, financial reconciliation, and system reliability. Ability to work autonomously, establish priorities, communicate technical trade-offs clearly, and collaborate directly with business leadership. A pragmatic, results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering functional solutions, validating end-to-end workflows, and building systems that can evolve with business needs. Comfort working in an environment where the technical foundations are being established from scratch and requirements, priorities, and architecture will evolve over time.
