Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Enablement Manager based in the United States. This is an exciting opportunity for a technical enablement professional to build and scale technical readiness across customer-facing engineering teams at a fast-growing cybersecurity company. You will initially focus on Sales Engineering, helping new hires become confident in product demonstrations, proof-of-concept (POC) engagements, and customer interactions. Working closely with enablement leadership, engineering managers, and customer-facing teams, you will transform real-world challenges into scalable training programs, hands-on labs, certifications, and practical technical resources. You will also ensure teams stay up to date with rapid product releases by translating new features into actionable demonstrations, deployment guides, and troubleshooting materials. By leveraging AI tools and automation, you will develop efficient enablement systems that support a growing global team without sacrificing quality. This remote role is ideal for a technically strong, customer-focused professional who enjoys teaching, solving complex problems, and helping teams deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Own and continuously improve technical onboarding for Sales Engineers, helping new hires become proficient in product demonstrations and POC execution as quickly as possible, with plans to extend enablement programs to Technical Account Managers, Customer Success Managers, and Support teams. Develop hands-on technical labs, certification pathways, demonstrations, training videos, and playbooks that enable team members to build practical product expertise and operate independently in customer-facing situations. Establish certification standards and collaborate with Sales Engineering leadership to define demonstration expectations, assess technical readiness, and ensure consistent quality across customer engagements. Work with Customer Engineering leaders to define role-specific readiness criteria, establish measurable ramp-up goals, and track progress through onboarding and ongoing professional development. Manage the technical knowledge base for Customer Engineering by auditing existing documentation, removing outdated materials, and maintaining accurate, accessible, self-service resources. Create detailed deployment and troubleshooting guides for complex enterprise environments, with an initial focus on security product deployments involving proxies, zero trust network access (ZTNA), and private package registries such as Artifactory and Nexus. Develop and maintain technical competitive resources that help customer-facing teams understand competing tools, explain product differentiation, and respond effectively to customer questions. Participate in customer calls, product demonstrations, POC reviews, and escalations to identify recurring knowledge gaps and translate field challenges into targeted training initiatives. Communicate recurring technical issues and customer feedback to Engineering, highlighting documentation gaps, confusing user experiences, and product limitations that create friction during sales and deployment. Partner with engineers and product teams to prepare customer-facing teams for new feature releases, ensuring technical readiness before features reach customers. Translate product updates into practical enablement resources, including hands-on labs, demonstrations, technical talk tracks, deployment instructions, and documentation of known limitations. Deliver recurring technical training sessions for Sales Engineering and broader Customer Engineering teams to reinforce product knowledge and share lessons learned. Use AI tools and automation to accelerate the creation, maintenance, and scaling of enablement content, improving productivity and supporting an expanding organization. Build on existing onboarding programs, learning management systems, hands-on labs, and recurring training initiatives to strengthen and scale the overall enablement function. Requirements At least 6 years of experience in a technical customer-facing or technical enablement role, such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Account Manager, Support Engineer, or Technical Enablement specialist. Demonstrated hands-on experience delivering product demonstrations, managing POCs, supporting deployments, or resolving technical escalations, rather than focusing exclusively on training delivery. Strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly and adapt communication to different audiences, including Sales Engineers, Account Executives, software developers, and engineering teams. Proven experience developing scalable learning resources that others can use independently, including hands-on labs, demonstrations, certifications, videos, playbooks, and technical documentation. Ability to define measurable training outcomes and demonstrate the effectiveness of enablement programs through readiness assessments, certification results, ramp-up progress, or other relevant indicators. Practical experience using AI tools, such as Claude, Claude Code, or comparable solutions, to create, maintain, and scale technical content efficiently. Working knowledge of modern software development workflows, including package managers such as npm or PyPI, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and source control platforms such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab. Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn complex products quickly, investigate unfamiliar issues, and translate technical details into clear, practical learning materials. Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Enablement, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Support, and Engineering. A proactive, organized, and ownership-driven approach, with the ability to prioritize enablement initiatives in a fast-moving environment characterized by frequent product releases and evolving customer needs. Experience in application security, software composition analysis (SCA), software supply chain security, or developer tooling is preferred. Previous experience keeping customer-facing technical teams up to date with frequent product releases, ideally on a weekly or biweekly cadence, is an advantage. Ability to read and write basic scripts in Python, JavaScript, or Go to build, customize, and maintain technical labs is preferred. Familiarity with enterprise networking concepts and technologies, including proxies, ZTNA, secure web gateways, and private package registries, is beneficial. A strong customer-focused mindset, commitment to high-quality work, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to make sound decisions while moving quickly in a collaborative environment. Benefits Competitive annual salary: $160,000–$220,000, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, location, and role level. Meaningful equity: Equity compensation that provides an opportunity to share in the company's long-term growth. Comprehensive healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and their families, with approximately 99% coverage. Flexible time off: Flexible paid time off, company holidays, and a winter shutdown to support rest and work-life balance. Paid parental leave: Dedicated leave to support employees and their families during important life transitions. Remote-first work environment: Flexibility to work remotely, with quarterly team off-sites that encourage collaboration and relationship-building. Professional growth: Opportunities to expand technical expertise, build scalable enablement programs, and influence how customer-facing engineering teams learn and operate. Innovative technical environment: Exposure to developer security, open-source software ecosystems, modern engineering workflows, and AI-powered productivity tools. Collaborative culture: A workplace that values ownership, customer focus, rigorous thinking, constructive feedback, high-quality execution, and continuous improvement.
