Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Project Manager based in the United States . As a Technical Project Manager, you will coordinate day-to-day delivery for an innovative AI-driven healthcare technology project supporting federal regulatory oversight. You will oversee project scope, schedules, resources, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications within an Agile delivery environment. Working closely with technical and engineering teams, you will ensure sprint commitments remain realistic, measurable, and aligned with contractual deliverables. You will manage two-week sprint cycles, maintain transparent project tracking, and facilitate collaboration with government stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a proof of concept that monitors API endpoints across approximately 290 certified health IT products. You will help ensure delivery remains organized, traceable, and responsive to evolving priorities and requirements. This is a remote, part-time contract opportunity for an experienced project management professional with strong Agile expertise and federal project delivery experience.
Coordinate daily project execution, overseeing scope, schedules, resources, risks, dependencies, deliverables, and stakeholder communications to maintain clear visibility into project progress. Lead the Agile delivery cadence, including two-week sprint planning, backlog refinement, and ongoing prioritization within a rolling three-month planning horizon. Maintain risk, action, issue, and decision (RAID) logs, track dependencies, and escalate matters according to established decision-making responsibilities. Prepare written agendas, meeting minutes, and project updates for meetings with government stakeholders, ensuring communication is clear, accurate, and actionable. Manage and configure Jira backlogs, sprint boards, and reporting dashboards as the authoritative, government-accessible record of project status and delivery progress. Support change management, scope control, monthly status reporting, and ongoing documentation to ensure project activities remain aligned with contractual obligations. Collaborate daily with the Technical Lead, AI/Engineering Lead, Senior Systems Engineer, and Application Developer to coordinate work, resolve blockers, and ensure sprint commitments are achievable and traceable to project deliverables. Facilitate knowledge transfer and maintain project documentation to support continuity, accountability, and effective collaboration across technical and program teams. Requirements At least 5 years of project management experience in software development or IT delivery, including a minimum of 3 years as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager managing two-week sprints, sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. At least 2 years of experience coordinating day-to-day delivery on a government contract, including deliverable tracking, status reporting, RAID management, and stakeholder communications. Hands-on Jira administration and configuration experience, including managing sprint boards, backlogs, workflows, and reporting, beyond basic end-user familiarity. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare professional agendas, meeting minutes, status reports, and technical project narratives for a federal audience. Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, track dependencies, identify risks, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with technical teams, government stakeholders, and program leadership. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred qualifications include a Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent), PMP or PgMP certification, previous experience on federal healthcare IT or interoperability projects, and familiarity with Confluence or similar documentation platforms. Agile and Scrum delivery expertise must be established before joining. Training in FHIR, certified health IT program content, and relevant regulatory and policy context will be provided after starting. Benefits Hourly compensation: W-2 employment: $50–$60 per hour. 1099 business-to-business contract: $60–$69 per hour. Remote work: Work remotely from an eligible U.S. state. Contract duration: One-year, part-time engagement. Retirement savings: 401(k) plan with company matching contributions. Paid time off: PTO program with benefits that increase with tenure.
