The Technical Project Manager 2 leads complex technology initiatives from planning through delivery, ensuring projects remain aligned with business objectives, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations. This role combines structured project management with technical understanding and a strong focus on execution. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage dependencies, monitor risks, and communicate progress to both technical and executive audiences. The position supports projects using Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches, with an emphasis on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement. You will also contribute to project governance through detailed documentation, reporting, scheduling, and risk management. Success requires strong organization, sound judgment, adaptability, and the ability to keep teams moving in a dynamic environment. This is a remote opportunity with occasional travel or onsite participation for team and client engagements.

Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, and execution plans in alignment with business goals. Establish and manage project expectations with team members, clients, leadership, contractors, and other stakeholders. Apply and continuously improve project management methodologies, processes, tools, and best practices. Develop budget proposals and recommend adjustments when project requirements or circumstances change. Prepare and deliver project status reports, proposals, requirements documentation, presentations, dashboards, and other project artifacts. Proactively manage scope changes, identify potential project challenges or crises, and develop practical contingency plans. Conduct quantitative and qualitative risk assessments, including likelihood and impact analysis, root-cause analysis, and risk-response planning. Track schedule performance, including critical paths, schedule variance, and relevant project management metrics. Communicate project metrics, risks, milestones, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership. Coordinate Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery activities and help ensure teams remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required. At least 5 years of technical project management experience, including practical knowledge of Agile development processes. 3–5 years of experience using Microsoft Project for project planning, scheduling, and tracking. Project management certification such as PMP, CSM, or CAPM strongly preferred. Experience with Agile/Waterfall hybrid project management and the ability to adapt delivery approaches to project needs. 3–5 years of experience developing and maintaining project artifacts, documentation, schedules, and management reports. Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative risk management, including root-cause analysis, likelihood and impact assessments, and risk-response planning. Experience with Power BI dashboard reporting is preferred. Knowledge of critical path methodology and schedule variance analysis using PMI-aligned metrics is preferred. Experience briefing project metrics and project health to stakeholders and senior leadership. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and nontechnical audiences. Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team-oriented environment. Ability to manage shifting priorities, changing requirements, competing deadlines, and high-pressure situations. Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to build cooperation across clients, leadership, contractors, and internal teams. Ability to research project-related issues, learn new technologies, and apply new concepts effectively. Comfortable participating in and leading training sessions, presentations, meetings, and project discussions. Ability to work remotely during established working hours from a safe, private, and distraction-free environment. Ability to travel occasionally for team meetings, client meetings, or other onsite requirements. Must be authorized to work in the United States; new foreign-national hires requiring work authorization sponsorship are not supported. Benefits Competitive annual salary range of $140,000–$160,000 , depending on location, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. Medical and dental benefits. 401(k) retirement plan. Paid time off (PTO). Parental leave. Bereavement leave. Remote work environment with occasional travel or onsite requirements.
