Overview
ABOUT HYPHENATE
Full job description
ABOUT HYPHENATE Hyphenate (formerly Maximor.ai http://Maximor.ai) is a New York-based startup, founded in 2023 by former Microsoft executives, building AI agents that automate finance and accounting workflows for mid-market and enterprise companies. The platform connects directly to ERP, CRM, billing, payroll, and banking systems to handle tasks like revenue recognition, accounts payable, and reconciliation — replacing the manual, Excel-driven work that has traditionally bogged down finance teams during month-end close. Hyphenate has raised $9M in seed funding led by Foundation Capital, with participation from Gaia Ventures, Boldcap, and others. ABOUT THE ROLE Hyphenate is hiring an India-based Technical Recruiter to own outbound sourcing and closing for U.S. software engineering and technical roles. This is a hands-on, outbound-first sourcing role for someone who has already closed engineering hires for a U.S. product company and is comfortable running cold outreach at volume. WORK SCHEDULE & HOURS This is a remote role based in India that supports a U.S. hiring team. Please note the following before applying:
- 6-day work week. The role operates on a six-day schedule (Monday through Saturday).
- Late India-time hours. Working hours are shifted later in the day (IST) to provide meaningful overlap with U.S. business hours for candidate calls, hiring-team syncs, and scheduling.
- Flexibility on both sides. Exact hours will be agreed with the Head of Talent and may flex around candidate availability across U.S. time zones. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own end-to-end sourcing and outbound recruitment for U.S.-based software engineering and technical roles.
- Design and run outbound campaigns — cold email sequences and cold calling — to build qualified candidate pipelines.
- Use AI-enabled sourcing tools to identify, enrich, and prioritize candidate lists.
- Manage candidate communication end-to-end: outreach, screening, scheduling, and pipeline updates.
- Partner closely with the hiring team to refine sourcing criteria based on candidate quality and market feedback. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 2–4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience at a fast-growing, U.S.-based startup (seed through Series B).
- Startup experience must be from a product company — SaaS, AI agents, or enterprise software. E-commerce and non-product companies do not qualify.
- Track record of having sourced and closed multiple U.S.-based software engineering roles — this is a minimum bar, not a nice-to-have.
- Strong, demonstrated experience with outbound recruitment: cold email campaigns and cold calling. Inbound recruiting experience is a plus but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Comfortable using AI tools as part of the day-to-day sourcing workflow.
- Able to commit to a 6-day work week with late India-time hours aligned to U.S. business hours.
- Consistent, stable work history — frequent unexplained employment gaps will not meet the bar. PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE
- Familiarity with modern AI-powered sourcing platforms such as Juicebox or MetaView.
- Experience with sourcing/outreach tools commonly used for U.S. technical hiring, such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, hireEZ (formerly Hiretual), SeekOut, GitHub (with tools like Octohunt), and Wellfound (formerly AngelList Talent). COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Very competitive pay. Compensation benchmarked well above market for the role and experience level.
- Performance-based bonus. Additional earnings tied to hiring outcomes and pipeline quality. HIRING PROCESS
- Round 1 — Screening: Introductory conversation with the Hyphenate Head of Talent.
- Round 2 — Task: A short take-home exercise (a few hours) to assess sourcing approach and output.
- Round 3 — Paid Work Trial: Successful candidates move to a one-week, paid work trial using Hyphenate's own tools and live requisitions.
- Final Round: A closing conversation with Hyphenate leadership.
