Overview
International-status students from Guinea-Bissau who continue into an eligible University of Coimbra bachelor’s or master’s study cycle can receive a €1,000 Continuity of Studies Scholarship.
Complete scholarship details
The scholarship provides €1,000 to qualifying international students who continue their studies at the University of Coimbra and remain enrolled full-time annually. It continues through the normal duration of the study cycle and can be combined with the master’s research incentive and, where applicable, the CPLP Master’s Scholarship. Changing from international-student status to national/equivalent status, withdrawing or changing to partial/semester-only enrolment cancels the award under the published rules.
Eligibility requirements
Students must hold international-student status, continue studies at the University of Coimbra in an eligible bachelor’s or master’s cycle and maintain full-time annual enrolment. The University applies the scholarship according to Regulation 346/2025.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
