Benefits include a full tuition-fee offset, a stipend at the Australian Government Research Training Program rate for the standard full-time PhD duration, a one-off AUD 5,000 research grant, an AUD 2,000 interstate relocation allowance and Overseas Student Health Cover for eligible international students. The programme also includes mentoring in tertiary teaching, engagement and public promotion of history.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must meet entry requirements for the full-time Doctor of Philosophy – Arts in History, hold at least first-class honours in the qualifying degree and enrol in the History PhD for 2027. The application requires a 500-word statement, research proposal and proposed supervisor, academic records and supporting information.
