Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be international students holding a valid passport from Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand or Vietnam; meet entry requirements for one of Otago's listed eligible taught master's programmes; normally have at least a New Zealand B-equivalent grade average; and intend to study full-time on campus. Students directly sponsored under certain government fee-payment arrangements are not eligible.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified against the current University of Otago scholarship database. The award opens 1 May in the year before study and the Semester 1 closing date is 10 December. No closing time/timezone is stated, so only deadline_date is stored. The scholarship is automatically assessed during programme admission.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
