The Faculty of Geosciences is recruiting one PhD candidate for a project combining economic geography and innovation studies. The role is 36–40 hours per week. Utrecht University lists a gross monthly salary of EUR 3,204–4,051 for full-time employment, plus 8% holiday pay and an 8.3% year-end bonus. The appointment starts with one year and is intended to extend to four years after a successful first-year assessment. International candidates who need a Dutch visa or work permit are told that processing will be arranged with help from the university’s International Service Desk after selection and acceptance; housing remains the candidate’s responsibility.
