Hospital Administrator – Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency About PSVSE Located in beautiful Gig Harbor, Washington, Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency (PSVSE) provides exceptional emergency and specialty veterinary care to pets and families throughout the Pacific Northwest. The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Hospital Administrator  to help lead the continued growth and success of PSVSE. The HA is a key member of our leadership team, partnering closely with the Medical Director to oversee hospital operations, team development, financial performance, and the overall client and team experience. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, building strong relationships, solving problems, and creating an environment where both people and patient care can thrive. What You’ll Do Partner with the Medical Director and leadership team to oversee daily hospital operations and achieve hospital goals. Foster a culture built on compassion, inclusion, accountability, innovation, and collaboration . Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop hospital team members. Support DVMs with administrative, HR, performance, and operational needs. Monitor financial performance, labor costs, revenue, and other key hospital metrics. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and the experience of our clients and team. Oversee scheduling, facilities, equipment, compliance, and other operational needs. Handle employee and client concerns with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgment. Build strong relationships with referring veterinarians and represent PSVSE within the local veterinary community. Partner with hospital leadership on strategic planning, business development, and continued growth. What We’re Looking For 3- 5 years previous leadership and management experience in veterinary medicine or healthcare required. High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Management, Communication, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience managing DVMs, physicians, or other professional staff strongly preferred. Strong understanding of hospital operations and financial performance. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills. A people-focused leader who can balance compassion with accountability. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment.
