Overview
WUR's invitation-based Excellence Programme offers exceptional non-EU/non-EFTA September 2027 MSc entrants a 24-month tuition-fee waiver.
Complete scholarship details
The 2027–28 Excellence Programme is considered through WUR MSc admissions rather than a separate scholarship application. Eligible MSc applicants are assessed by the WU Scholarship Selection Committee. Around March–April 2027, selected candidates are invited to a final-stage process that includes a lottery; awards are planned for 7 April 2027. The scholarship waives tuition for the two-year MSc but not living, insurance or residence-permit costs.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be citizens outside the EU and EFTA, apply for a WUR MSc starting September 2027, submit a complete MSc application before 1 December 2026, obtain unconditional admission, and have a First Class honours bachelor's degree or equivalent with GPA of at least 80%. Required English evidence and the completed bachelor's diploma must be in the application before the scholarship deadline.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Official WUR page verified non-EU/non-EFTA citizenship, unconditional September 2027 MSc admission, First Class honours/80% GPA, complete application before 1 December 2026 and 24-month tuition waiver; remaining costs are explicitly not covered.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
