Full job description
The WASH Specialist reports to the Deputy Representative (Programme) and provides strategic leadership and technical oversight for UNICEF Angola's WASH portfolio. Responsibilities include managerial leadership, programme development and planning, fundraising/resource mobilization, implementation and monitoring, climate-resilient and risk-informed WASH programming, humanitarian preparedness/response, partnerships, advocacy, innovation and capacity building.
Requirements & qualifications
Requires an advanced university degree in a relevant field; at least five years of relevant WASH professional experience in developing countries; supervisory experience; one year of deployment in a developing country; at least one three-month humanitarian deployment with the UN, government or an INGO; and fluency in English and Portuguese.
