Overview
A one- to three-month visiting faculty fellowship for outstanding scientists from higher-education or research institutions abroad.
Complete fellowship details
Awards last from one month to a maximum of three continuous months. Depending on the award determined by Weizmann, terms may include financial remuneration, round-trip airfare at the cheapest direct commercial fare and/or rent-free housing. These benefits are conditional, not guaranteed for every recipient.
Eligibility requirements
Candidates must be affiliated with a home higher-education or research institution abroad and be recently tenured or on a tenure track, with appropriate recognition in their field. Applicants must first establish contact with a prospective Weizmann host and include the host's support letter.
Tips for this fellowship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified against the current Academic Affairs instructions. The cycle is tenable from April 2026 through March 2028 and the page states annual March 31 and September 30 deadlines without a closing time.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
