Amazon Pay is the fintech arm of Amazon, building trusted, convenient, and rewarding payment experiences for millions of customers in India. We operate across two major merchant verticals: Online Merchants (serving 120MM+ customers on platforms like Zomato, Swiggy, Zepto, Blinkit, IRCTC, BookMyShow) and Offline Merchants (enabling Amazon Pay QR-based payments at organized national and regional retail chains across HCTP and non-HCTP categories.

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to lead merchant marketing across both Online and Offline channels, driving customer awareness, adoption, and transaction share for the full suite of Amazon Pay Products, including Amazon Pay Balance (APB), Amazon Pay Later (APL), Amazon Pay UPI, and Smart Wallet. As a Senior Marketing Manager for Merchant Marketing, you will own the end-to-end marketing strategy to grow Amazon Pay's presence and preference across India's online and offline commerce ecosystem. This is a full-stack marketing role spanning customer awareness campaigns, merchant co-marketing partnerships, rewards and offers strategy, and data-driven growth programs.

On the Online Merchants side, you will work with merchants to drive upper-funnel awareness, design and execute HVE (High Visibility Event) partnerships (e.g., merchant sale events, co-branded campaigns), and drive preferential visibility for Amazon Pay instruments on merchant checkout pages. You will be STL for marketing funnel metrics (awareness to consideration to conversion).

On the Offline Merchants side, you will partner with national and regional brands and retailers to drive in-store customer adoption of Scan & Pay via Amazon Pay. This includes designing multi-pronged campaigns targeting customers (rewards, cashback), cashiers (incentive programs), and merchants (in-store merchandising and co-branding), as well as executing 360-degree campaigns with marquee partners. You will create BTL, in-store, and digital activations that drive measurable incrementality in transaction share.

Key job responsibilities

• Own and drive the unified merchant marketing strategy across Online and Offline Merchant channels, ensuring consistency of Amazon Pay's brand positioning and customer value proposition
• Design and execute co-marketing campaigns with top online merchants to drive wallet linking, cart share, and MAU growth
• Create and scale in-store marketing programs for offline merchants, including co-branding with retailers, cashier incentive programs, Scan-Pay-Win campaigns, and BTL activations across HCTP and non-HCTP categories
• Drive customer awareness for Amazon Pay Products (APB, APL, UPI etc) through XCM campaigns in collaboration with Amazon central marketing teams, ATL/BTL programs, and on-deck/off-deck marketing interventions
• Own the rewards and offers strategy for merchant marketing, working with internal rewards teams to design sustainable, ROI-positive cashback and offer constructs that drive repeat engagement on high-frequency merchants and new acquisition on others
• Build and execute strategic account-level marketing plans for top merchants, identifying creative initiatives that generate business results (e.g., event-based mass activations, embedded app partnerships, category-specific campaigns)
• Manage merchant marketing budgets, ensuring optimal allocation across online and offline channels with clear ROI tracking and guardrails
• Analyze campaign performance data to inform decisions: track awareness metrics, APB/APL Fast Track penetration, cart share movement, MAU uplift, and CPMAU to continuously optimize the marketing playbook
• Partner with Product, BD, and Integration teams to align marketing interventions with product launches
• Forecast and report business growth and marketing metrics, prepare business reviews for senior leadership, and proactively surface roadblocks

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
• Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
• Experience communicating results to stakeholders
• Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
• Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
