Chevening / UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Opportunities

Chevening is the UK Government’s international scholarship programme. A full award normally covers tuition fees, approved economy travel, the visa application cost, arrival and departure allowances, a monthly living stipend and other qualifying allowances. The Mauritania page notes that successful applicants may need to travel to another country for UK visa processing and TB testing because those facilities are unavailable locally; any discretionary reimbursement is subject to Chevening’s terms.

Applicants from Mauritania must meet Chevening’s current eligibility rules, including the current degree and work-experience requirements, and apply to eligible one-year taught master’s courses in the United Kingdom.
