Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) Opportunities

The Research Council of Norway-funded project is a collaboration between NTNU and Norsk Regnesentral. The candidate will develop and assess LLM-assisted methods, formulate testable materials hypotheses, publish results and spend extended research periods with the Norwegian Computing Centre.

A relevant Master's degree in materials science, solid-state chemistry, condensed matter physics or a closely related discipline is required, normally corresponding to a five-year Norwegian programme with 120 Master's-level credits. Applicants normally need a B-equivalent Master's average, admission eligibility for the relevant NTNU doctoral programme, documented Python or related programming/computational materials experience and good English.
