The symposium brings together policymakers, academics, researchers, mining practitioners, development partners, private-sector actors, civil society and community representatives. Registration categories currently include local non-presenting students at USD 50, local presenters at USD 75, regional non-presenting participants at USD 150 and regional presenters at USD 150. Fees exclude accommodation and transport. The full-paper deadline of 15 September applies to presenters, not to general attendee registration, so no general registration deadline is assigned here.

Open registration includes local students, local student or professional presenters, regional SADC non-presenting participants, and regional SADC student or professional presenters, according to the official registration categories.
