Sapienza University of Rome Opportunities

The 2026 competition provides 400 scholarship-months for qualifying Sapienza graduates to undertake third-cycle study or post-degree specialization abroad. Awards run for 6–12 months at €1,290 per month. Non-Italian citizens must choose a host country different from both Italy and their country of origin.

Applicants must be 28 or younger at the announcement, hold an eligible Sapienza Master's, single-cycle Master's or equivalent integrated degree from the qualifying recent session, and obtain an official acceptance/invitation or availability-to-admit statement from the foreign host. PhD students may apply subject to the scholarship/leave rules in the call.
