The Ministry of National Security — Bahamas National Youth Guard Opportunities

The Ministry of National Security's National Youth Guard programme prepares young people to support public and private agencies during national emergencies and disasters. The official programme page states that participants must be available for three months of training. Participants are paid during training and internship periods and receive a stipend when asked to serve. The application requires identity, National Insurance, police-record, academic and bank-account documentation, with a medical form supplied after submission.

Applicants must be citizens of The Bahamas, be 18–25 years old at entry, be available for the three months of training, be free from illegal drug or substance use, be physically and mentally capable of taking part in the programme, and be interested in serving the country. Applicants are subject to drug testing, a mental evaluation and a physical assessment. Submission does not guarantee selection.
