Two Sigma Opportunities

Recipients receive up to US$75,000 per academic year for two consecutive academic years toward tuition, fees and living stipend, paid to the university, plus a one-time US$10,000 award for eligible educational costs. Runners-up receive a one-time US$10,000 award. Recipients and runners-up are assigned a Two Sigma research mentor.

Full-time PhD students at accredited universities in the United States; at least in the third year of the PhD and with at least two years remaining when the fellowship begins in fall 2027; research must align with an eligible discipline. Students apply directly. The application requires a resume, PhD transcripts and research materials; references are requested only for applicants advancing to the second round.
