Opportunities from African Union Careers

The official AU vacancy states that the internship is authorized for three months and may be renewed once. Interns support administrative and technical implementation of AU programmes and projects across participating departments. The AU has no financial obligation toward interns: travel, accommodation and living costs are the intern's responsibility. The AU states that it will make reasonable efforts to assist with entry and residence visas, while interns must maintain their own insurance coverage.

Applicants must be nationals of an African Union Member State and meet the stated education route: active enrolment in at least the final year of a bachelor's programme, or possession of a bachelor's or advanced/postgraduate qualification in a related field. The official vacancy also requires fluency in at least one AU working language, an age of no more than 32 at selection, and appropriate conduct/integrity. Prior work experience is not required for internship positions.
