These roles are within the Review and Improvement Services (RIS) Group, and you would be based in the North Island, close to the main centres.Mōhou ake | About youWE WANT YOU if you have …significant experience in education leadership roles in the primary and/or secondary sector that's included using evaluation to guide improvementproven expertise in collaborating and partnering to bring about improvements to teaching and learning and school performancedeep knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum, assessment and pedagogya high level of expertise in analysing and making sense of qualitative and quantitative information and using it to support improvementability to establish and sustain trusting and respectful professional relationships that progress the mahicuriosity, flexibility, and openness to other people's perspectives and innovationhighly effective interpersonal and communication skillsthe capacity to respectfully and constructively challenge norms and assumptions, and to hold the line when the going gets tougha growth mindset and accountability for your own ongoing learning and improvement and high performance.YOU MUST have the following to be considered for this role…recent education/teaching experience in Aotearoa New Zealand and a working understanding of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and/or The New Zealand Curriculum and assessment practices and toolsa professional work ethic, that includes serving the government of the day as a public servantexperience leading teams effectively and participating productively as a team memberyour drivers' licence and be prepared to travel and be away from home for short periods of timea proven commitment to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and valuing of bicultural partnershipsproven ability to manage multiple tasks and competing demandsthe ability to organise evidence and produce clear, accurate, coherent and succinct public reports.Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role Evaluator roles are permanent positions. They are part of the Review and Improvement Services (RIS) group. The focus of the role is to evaluate the quality of education provided by schools for diverse learners and from these evaluations, support school improvement and prepare reports that are made available to the public.
