Senior manager of the Graduate Research School at the University of the Sunshine Coast Dr Sharon Saunders joins University of Queensland student Ben Roden-Cohen to explore how early research experiences help students build confidence, develop transferable skills and discover new career pathways. They’re joined by the Australasian Council of Undergraduate Research (ACUR) vice chair Dr Lilia Mantai and Claudia Ghosn, a student researcher at Macquarie University and head of ACUR’s Student Committee.

The conversation also examines the barriers that limit participation and why expanding access to authentic research opportunities is critical to strengthening Australia’s future workforce and innovation ecosystem.
