Opportunities from Chevening — Nicaragua

Applications are submitted online through Chevening's application system. Applicants select three eligible UK master's courses. The standard award covers tuition fees, approved economy travel to and from the country of residence, arrival and departure allowances, the visa application cost, a travel top-up allowance, a contribution toward TB testing where required, and a monthly living stipend. Chevening's Nicaragua page notes that there is no UK visa processing centre in Nicaragua, so successful applicants must travel to another country for visa processing; selected scholars may be eligible for discretionary reimbursement of some related travel costs.

Applicants using the Nicaragua route must meet Chevening's current general eligibility criteria and work-experience requirement. Eligible courses are full-time, autumn-start taught master's degrees in the UK that normally run for 9 to 12 months; the application system calculates the required work experience against a 2,800-hour threshold.
