The researcher will lead high-throughput screening and bioinformatics for data-driven enzyme engineering, including construction of large DNA libraries, development of high-throughput enzyme characterization methods, next-generation sequencing workflows and data analysis. The contract runs from employment through 30 September 2028 with possible extension, and the start can be as early as October 2026.

Applicants need a PhD in biotechnology, molecular biology, biochemistry, synthetic biology or a related field; experience with molecular cloning, bacterial cell culture and next-generation sequencing workflows; strong analytical skills; and excellent English. Desirable experience includes bioinformatics/programming in Python or R, mammalian cell culture and a strong publication record including at least one first-author research article.
