Opportunities from Ghana Scholarships Authority

The official call lists maximum scholarship study durations of four years for undergraduate programmes, two years for master's programmes and four years for PhDs. Priority fields include engineering, computer science, AI, data science, cybersecurity, renewable energy, health and medical sciences, agriculture and food systems, economics and business, public policy and governance, law, international relations, peace and security, and environment/climate and blue-economy fields. The call allocates 42 nominations in total, with three places each for 14 listed ECOWAS countries. Applicants must first apply to at least one participating Ghana public tertiary programme and then submit academic credentials and admission/application evidence through the Ghana Scholarships Authority portal before national nomination and final submission through the prescribed government route.

Applicants must be citizens of eligible ECOWAS member states other than Ghana, meet the admission requirements of a participating institution, demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential, show commitment to national or regional development, and meet Ghana's immigration and visa requirements for international students. The official quota table lists Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Côte d'Ivoire, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.
