The official guidance says an Eswatini entry visa may be used by tourists, business visitors, interns and volunteer workers. For a visit exceeding 30 days, or for study or work, the traveller must use the appropriate Temporary Residence Permit route instead. Holding a visa does not itself guarantee admission at the port of entry.

For visitors whose nationality requires an Eswatini visa and who intend a short-term volunteer or internship visit. Visa requirements depend on country of origin; nationals who do not require an entry visa should not apply solely because they will volunteer or intern.
