Opportunities from NYU Abu Dhabi

NYU Abu Dhabi currently lists Global PhD Student Fellowships across science and engineering fields. Fellows apply through the corresponding NYU New York PhD program and indicate their interest in conducting research at NYU Abu Dhabi. Depending on the program, students generally spend the first one or two years completing coursework in New York before moving to Abu Dhabi for three to four years of research. Official program pages state that selected fellows are fully funded, with tuition, fees and health insurance, a research assistantship and stipend, degree-related travel assistance, no-cost campus accommodation in Abu Dhabi, a contribution toward accommodation in New York and career-development support. Individual departments control their own admissions requirements and closing dates.

Applicants must satisfy the admission requirements of the relevant NYU PhD program and indicate interest in the NYU Abu Dhabi Global PhD Student Fellowship. Selection is competitive and may consider academic performance, recommendations, test scores where applicable and research fit.
