Opportunities from Republic of Nauru Department of Human Resources — Training and Development Unit

The Republic of Nauru Department of Human Resources runs the Student Internship Program for school leavers. The official page says limited availability is extended in December every year. Selected students are placed in a Government Department for an introductory six-week period to gain workplace exposure. Strong performers may be considered for an extended six-month placement where an organization is willing to continue the commitment.

The programme is for Year 12 and Year 13 students of Nauruan heritage who are completing or about to leave high school. Students may study at local or international institutions but must be on island to participate. Placements are within Government departments rather than private-sector or overseas affiliations.
