Opportunities from Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute

The fellowship is awarded annually to an outstanding postdoctoral researcher in one of the research fields represented at STRI. The successful fellow must reside in Panama for the full three-year appointment while conducting research at a STRI facility. STRI's fellowship guidance instructs applicants to contact the staff scientist they wish to work with before submitting the formal application.

Researchers whose PhD studies are completed before the fellowship begins are eligible. Applicants should identify and contact an appropriate STRI staff-scientist research advisor before the formal application, following the official fellowship guidance.
