Opportunities from The University of Tokyo

The scholarship is applied for before university admission. Candidates selected provisionally must still pass the University of Tokyo admission process, and the scholarship becomes formal after enrolment and completion of the required scholarship procedures. Applications are submitted through the applicant's high school principal, except for specified equivalency-exam applicants who may apply individually under the published rules.

Applicants must fall within the University's published 2027-entry scholarship criteria, including financial-need requirements and admission eligibility. Selection as a scholarship candidate does not guarantee admission to the University of Tokyo.
