Opportunities from UCT HPI Fellowships

The HPI-UCT Digital Health Partnership is recruiting one 2027 PhD candidate in Information Systems and two in Public Health. Current topics include primary-care electronic health records, child-survival data, health-data engineering, digital-health implementation, maternal and child health, policy, governance and ethics. The live call extends the deadline to 1 September 2026 and states that the 2027 postdoctoral call will be advertised separately.

Applicants must be from the African continent and be prepared to study full-time in Cape Town and obtain a South African study visa. Candidates must meet UCT doctoral admission requirements. Evidence of English proficiency may be required unless prior education was in English.
