Opportunities from United Nations Development Programme — Djibouti

UNDP Djibouti's current official call recruits interns for units including resilience, governance/peace/security, finance, strategy, gender, stabilization, communications, climate and environment, project management, monitoring and evaluation, IT and procurement. The programme is intended to provide quality professional experience while participants contribute to UNDP work and gain exposure to a multilateral development environment. UNDP states that it recruits around a dozen interns each year, subject to qualifications, institutional and operational needs, and available hosting capacity.

At the time of application, candidates must meet at least one of the criteria stated by UNDP: be enrolled in a postgraduate programme such as a master's or higher; be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree; have recently graduated from such a university programme and, if selected, begin the internship within one year of graduation; or be enrolled in a postgraduate vocational training programme and undertake the internship as part of that programme. The programme is specifically presented for young Djiboutians, and female applications are strongly encouraged.
